What was the first movie you ever saw?

Saturday Night at the Movies, 18 July 5pm. Andrew Collins shares your first cinema memory.

What is your earliest recollection of going to the cinema?

What was the film you saw that set you on a lifetime of movie going? Where was it showing and who did you go with? What are your memories of the experience?

In this week's Saturday Night at the Movies, Andrew Collins is celebrating 'First Movies'. He's been asking for memories from Classic FM listeners and presenters and has got some great music ranging over eight decades to share.

Not surprisingly, Disney films feature heavily. Catherine Bott's first movie was Fantasia in Leamington Spa, while Aled Jones went to see Alice in Wonderland in Caernarfon, where he got a free ice cream from the usherette (who happened to be his Auntie). Speaking of relatives, Anne-Marie Minhall remembers her nanna sleeping through Star Wars, and Lucy Coward failed to convince her mum that Edward Scissorhands would be better than Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
