Classic FM Chart: John Powell’s soundtrack to Solo: A Star Wars Story lands at No. 2

After describing taking over from John Williams as ‘incredibly stressful and difficult’, film composer John Powell’s soundtrack to Solo: A Star Wars Story has flown into the Classic FM Chart at No. 2.
For the second week in a row, Royal wedding cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason has held onto the top spot in the Classic FM Chart with his debut album Inspiration, while John Powell’s new soundtrack to Solo: A Star Wars Story lies just behind at No. 2.
Wedding music is still popular this week, with The Royal Wedding Official Album and Classic FM’s The Wedding Collection in the top 10. However, the chart’s biggest faller is the Music for a Royal Wedding album at No. 30, which was up at No. 8 last week.
