Classic FM Chart: Christmas recordings old and new occupy the top 30

As the first week of December comes to a close, Christmas albums begin to edge their way into chart – but the top three spots remain resilient to the festivities.
The festive period is well and truly underway, and this week's chart is full of Christmas spirit. Rick Wakeman soars straight to No. 4 with his new release Christmas Portraits, and other seasonal soundtracks begin to edge their way up the chart.
But the top three positions remain firmly in the grasp of André Rieu, Aled Jones and Russell Watson, and Andrea Bocelli – who continue their reign for another week.
Aside from Wakeman's festive CD, only three other new entries break into this week's chart; Jaz Coleman enters at No. 15 with Magna Invocatio, the Choir of King's College reach No. 23 with 100 Years of Nine Lessons and Carols, alongside their other release A Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols: The Centenary Service, which sits at No. 30.
