Charity auction: bid to see Andrea Bocelli live in Budapest

This is your chance win a pair of tickets to see the legendary Andrea Bocelli perform live at the Papp Laszlo Sport Arena in Budapest on November 22 2015. All proceeds from the auction go to Global's Make Some Noise.

Operatic tenor Andrea Bocelli is classical music's biggest-selling living artist with record sales of over 80 million units and is the world's most popular crossover artist. He has recorded complete operas, popular Neapolitan songs and countless arias, and has duetted with the likes of Celine Dion and, famously, Sarah Brightman

Your trip will include return flights from London Luton and a three-night stay at the elegant Four Seasons Hotel, Gresham Palace. You can relax over breakfast in the Danube River View Room before exploring the sights of beautiful Budapest.

All of the money raised through this auction goes to Classic FM’s charity, Global’s Make Some Noise, a national charity that helps to change young lives, brought to you by eight of the best-loved commercial radio stations in the UK: Heart, Capital, Capital XTRA, Classic FM, Smooth, LBC, Radio X and Gold.

ON-AIR AUCTION TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.     Definitions and Introduction

1.1  In these terms and conditions the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings (and, where applicable in these terms and conditions, the singular shall include the plural):

1.2       These Auction Terms and Conditions together with the Competition Terms and Conditions (with the specific exception of clauses 2.3 and 2.4 of the Competition Terms and Conditions) shall apply to the Auction. Participation in any Auction shall be deemed an unconditional acceptance by you of these Conditions.

1.3       In the event that these Auction Terms and Conditions conflict with the Competition Terms and Conditions, the provisions of these Auction Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

1.4       References to “we”, “us” and “our” shall be to Global Charities and/or the Participating Radio Station(s).

2.         Auction

2.1    During the Term, details relating to the Auction will be broadcast on the Participating Radio Station(s).

2.2       All auctions will take place between Monday 5^th October and Friday 9^th October 2015 (“the Term”), however each lot will open and close at a different time within this Term.

2.3       The Bid Period for each item will be clearly specified online and may be referred to on-air by a presenter.

2.4       During the Bid Period each Participant must call the Auction Line only when directed to do so and only during the specified periods.  Calls to this number are charged at local rates from a BT landline, other networks and mobile costs may be higher.

2.5       The highest Bid received during the Bid Period will be announced on air to the extent permissible until such time that the Bid has been beaten (if applicable). The highest genuine Bid received from any Participant at the end of the Bid Period will secure the item. Where a Bid is successful, the Participant will be contacted by the Participating Radio Station.

2.6       If at the end of the Bid Period there are two or more active bidders, a final silent bid will be taken from each active bidder, and the highest silent bid will secure the item.

2.7       Full details of all Auctions will be available on the Website including any specific terms & conditions for each lot.

2.8       The offer of an Auction item on-air shall constitute an offer which will be deemed to be accepted by the highest bidder during the Bid Period.

2.9  Participants must be 18 years of age or over.  We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.

3.         Payment and delivery

3.1       Payment for an item must be by debit or credit card.  The amount to be paid, having been deducted from or charged to the Participant’s debit or credit card, shall constitute consideration.  All Participants must ensure that, prior to placing a bid, they are able to pay for any item which they wish to bid for.

3.2       Title in the items successfully bid for or purchased shall not pass on to the Participant until such time as payment for the item has been received by the Participating Radio Station and delivery has taken place.

3.3       Delivery of a prize or voucher with the prize details will be made within 28 (twenty eight) days to the address specified by the Participant provided that such address must be within England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. When an item is delivered, risk of damage to, or loss of, the item passes shall pass to the relevant Participant. We reserve the right to require photo ID from the successful Participant upon delivery.

3.4       Liability

All items offered for Auction shall be subject to availability and we shall not be liable for any claims, expenses, costs and/or any losses (including, but not limited to, loss of profits, indirect, pure economic and consequential losses or otherwise) or any damage (save for death or personal injury arising from negligence) suffered by any Participant.

3.5       All matters relating to the Auction shall be at our sole discretion.

3.6       Notwithstanding that a successful bid has been received, in the event that we discover that (i) the Participant was or should have been ineligible to make a bid for an item, or (ii) that the Participant should have been declared invalid for any other reason whatever (at our absolute discretion), we reserve the right to reject the bid. In such circumstances, we reserve the right to offer the prize to the second highest bidder.

Prize

- This prize is for two people and includes two tickets (one per person) to see Andrea Bocelli live in Budapest at the Papp Laszio Sport Arena on 22^nd November 2015 with return flights and accommodation.
- The hotel stay includes three nights complimentary accomodation including breakfast in a Danube River View Room at the Four Seasons Hotel, Budapest.

- The hotel gift certificate is non-refundable and non-transferable.

- The original voucher must be presented, as copies are not accepted. Not redeemable for cash. No refund of unused portion. An ID or Residency Card must be presented at Front Desk upon check-in. Certificate is based on hotel availability at the time of reservation and cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion.
- All other meals/drinks outside those offered on the Bed and Breakfast basis will incur a charge to the winner and are not included in this prize.

- Once travel and accommodation have been booked, the prize cannot be amended.

- Whilst we will do all we can to book your trip on your preferred dates, this is not always possible and we ask that you provide three options as soon as possible after the auction and at least four weeks’ notice to make a booking. More popular holiday periods for the destination get booked up quickly and there are no guarantees we will be able to offer your first choice.

- This prize includes two return flights from London Luton Airport to Budapest with Wizz Air.

- Flights are subject to availability. Many airlines have a set number of complimentary seats on flights, which are allocated on a first come first served basis. It is not guaranteed that all flights will have an allocation.
- The flight section of this prize is a pair of return flights ONLY. Transfers, spending money, travel insurance and all other costs are not included. 

- Please note that we can’t guarantee that we will be able to book specific fight times and can’t be held responsible for changes to flight schedules.

- It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure they have the correct visa, valid passport and travel insurance.

- Airport transfers in the destination country are not included. Transfers in the UK are NOT included.
- Flight vouchers can be redeemed on wizzair.com or via Wizz Air Call Center.

- Voucher can be used on any scheduled flight operated by Wizz Air Hungary Ltd. (“Wizz Air”). Vouchers cannot be used for bookings on flights operated by Wizz Air Ukraine Airlines LLC.

- Travel must be finished by the specified voucher validity/expiration date, after which the voucher becomes void.

- If a voucher is not used/redeemed in full at the time of booking, the balance is non-refundable. The value of unused vouchers and unused tickets are not refundable. The validity of the vouchers cannot be extended.

- Vouchers are valid towards the cost of Wizz Air flights (including taxes, fees and charges) and additional services available for purchase together with flights and which are present in the booking process (such as: infant fee, priority boarding, extra legroom, baggage fees). They cannot be used to purchase services that are not present in the standard booking process (including but not limited to car hire, airport parking, hotels)

- If the value of the voucher does not cover the full value of the flight, additional payment must be made by bank card. Vouchers are not valid with bank transfer payment and WIZZ account payment.

- It is possible to use the voucher for bookings in a currency that is different from the one specified on the voucher. Price of the selected services and/or ticket(s) will be converted to the currency chosen for payment via the booking process at the exchange rate used by Wizz Air at the time of the booking.

- Only one voucher can be used per booking.

- Vouchers cannot be used for adding services to a reservation after the booking has been completed or for flight or name change.

- The use of tickets and the carriage by air performed by Wizz Air are subject to Wizz Air’ General Conditions of Carriage .

- We expressly forbid vouchers being offered for commercial purposes by you or a third party, especially on internet auctions or other web-based platforms.

Flight voucher conditions:

- The journey must be finished before voucher’s validity expires. Check out the timetable on wizzair.com.

- Booking shall be made through Wizz Air Call Centre no later than 30 days prior to the date of intended commencement of travel.

- Call Center numbers are listed on wizzair.com.

- Voucher codes and numbers must be referred to upon booking.

- Tickets booked for vouchers are limited and subject to availability. Availability of seats is in particular limited during the period of public holidays, school breaks and major sporting and cultural events. Wizz Air Call Centre shall provide information on the number of seats available for voucher booking. Subject to seat availability Wizz Air will either make the requested booking or will offer alternative flight dates.

- The use of tickets and the carriage by air performed by Wizz Air are subject to the General Conditions of Carriage by Wizz Air.

- In case of changing passenger name, travel date or travel destination (hereinafter referred to as “change of reservation”) the current administration charge shall be paid, however the difference between the original and new fare, taxes, and charges need not to be paid. Change of reservation shall be made no later than 30 days prior to the date of intended commencement of travel. Change of travel date shall be made at least 30 days before the modified commencement of travel.

- The content of the prize may be subject to change and/or substituted with a prize of equal or greater value.

- At least one member of the group must be over the age of 18.

- We require winner name contact number, postal address and email to facilitate the prize.
- Due to the nature of prize donations, please be aware that it can take several weeks to confirm dates.

- Not for resale, not transferable and no cash alternative. This is a charity auction and as such no refunds are given.
