Being a professional opera singer is one of the toughest, most demanding career choices. Not only does opera singing require an incredibly precise, controlled technique – it is also physically and emotionally exhausting.
Oh, and your body is literally your own amplifier.
So naturally, singers all have their off days – but this monumental voice crack really takes the biscuit.
The tenor in question was singing the aria ‘Celeste Aida’ from Verdi’s opera Aida, when he completely lost it on the top A. Have a listen above.
