Mystery commuter goes viral with powerful rendition of ‘Shallow’ in lyrics challenge

She’s taken the Internet by storm with her impromptu singing on the London Underground.
An unsuspecting commuter has gone viral, after being approached by social media prankster Kevin Freshwater to take part in his ‘finish the lyrics’ challenge.
As Kevin points the mic at commuter Charlotte Awbery, she stops him in his tracks with a surprising chill-inducing rendition of Lady Gaga’s ‘Shallow’.

Kevin Freshwater, an online content creator with over 5 million followers across his socials, presents a challenge called ‘finish the lyrics’. He walks around London, pointing a microphone at unsuspecting pedestrians and asking them to sing the next line of various popular songs.

In this instance, he stops Charlotte as she heads to catch a train in the London Underground.
Charlotte doesn’t hesitate, accepting Kevin’s spontaneous lyrical challenge and taking on the Oscar-winning ballad from A Star Is Born.
“Wow!” Kevin gushes from behind the camera, as he holds the microphone to Charlotte. “You’re brilliant, well done! Are you a singer?”
“Yes,” she replies. Make sense.
Turns out, Charlotte is actually a wedding singer. Since the video went viral just five days ago, Charlotte’s social following has skyrocketed.
Last week, the wedding singer had an impressive 5,000 followers on Instagram – but now more than 255,000 people follow the viral sensation.
Let’s hope the video reaches Lady Gaga too...
