This is the amazing 10-year old Alexandra Dovgan and she's here to make you feel very inadequate
Alexandra Dovgan was one of the competitors at the Grand Piano Competition that took place in Moscow this month. It was set up by the pianist Denis Matsuev with the aim of discovering the great pianists of the future.
And we think they've found one.
This is the amazing Alexandra Dovgan. She's Russian and is just ten years old.
Unsurprisingly, she was awarded the competition's Grand Prix for this performance of Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No.1 with the Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra and conductor Alexander Sladkovsky.
You can watch her whole performance thanks to medici.tv right here.
But she also impressed the judges with her impeccable recital in the first round. The half-hour performance included some of the most virtuosic pieces ever written by the likes of Bach, Chopin and Moszkowski.
