Singer Taylor Swift has made a donation of $100,000 to the Nashville Symphony Orchestra.
Swift, who has been a Nashville resident since her teenage years, made the donation last Friday, which was also her 24th birthday.
The Nashville Symphony has been going through a debt restructuring programme to try and alleviate the financial strains it is currently under.
The singer-songwriter, famous for her hits 'Trouble' and 'Love Story', is also a member of the Nashville Musicians Association.
Fellow singer-songwriter Ben Folds took to Twitter to commend the singer:
So for @taylorswift13 's birthday, she gave Nashville Symphony & Schermerhorn Center a generous donation. Thanks for supporting us and Swift
