Music teachers from across the country were honoured at the Music Teacher Awards for Excellence on Wednesday and Thursday night.
The winners of the first ever Music Teacher Awards for Excellence have been announced. The ceremony, in its inaugural year, was held on Thursday night by Music Teacher magazine.
Host and Classic FM presenter Margherita Taylor presented the awards in front of an audience of 180 guests from the music industry. Winners in categories including Best Musical Initiative, Lifetime Achievement and Best classical music education initiative were selected by a panel of music educators, chaired by Music Teacher editor Christopher Walters.
