It's not every day you're treated to a free open-air concert on the riverbank - especially when the performer is floating...
Swimmers and sunbathers were surprised by a classical pianist floating down the river on Monday. Petras Geniusas was performing on a white grand piano stationed on a raft, floating down the Neris river, to promote the start of a Lithuanian music festival, Vivace Vilnius International Summer Music Festival.
Playing the white grand piano to a select audience who joined him on the raft, Petras' performance was amplified through a speaker system. Unsuspecting onlookers relaxing by the river were treated to this free performance, passing by before their eyes.
This is just one of a selection of performances at the festival, which includes solo concerts, chamber music, and masterclasses for pianists, violinists, cellists, and flautists. The festival runs until August 4.
