The classical musician and radio presenter has confirmed the name of her newborn – and it’s inspired by the Greek God of music...
Classic FM’s Myleene Klass has just announced the name of her new baby – and it’s associated with one of history’s best known musicians.
The 41-year-old presenter gave birth to her baby boy on 1 August, and has now confirmed that the family have named him Apollo.
Myleene shared the news in her latest Instagram post, which shows an adorable photo of herself with her little one, accompanied by the caption: “Apollo has landed! Xxx.”

One of the most significant Olympian deities in Greek mythology, Apollo is the Greek god of music – and with Myleene’s musical background, his name was the perfect fit for her newborn.
In an interview with Hello magazine, the pianist explained: “Apollo is the god of music and science — my two passions.
“We thought it was such a strong name and at 8lbs 5oz, he was a strong, bouncing boy.”
Although the family are delighted to welcome Apollo, Myleene admits it wasn’t a quick birth: “We had a really easy first three hours, to the point that I thought we would all be home by 7pm.
“But I don't remember what happened next. I lost five hours of my life and it was a pretty complicated birth in the end.”
The baby’s father is Myleene’s partner of three years, fashion PR Simon Motson.
The singer has two young girls – Hero, eight, and Ava, 11 – who recently enjoyed a music lesson with virtuoso pianist, Lang Lang – but Apollo is her first baby boy. She said: “We've worked really hard at blending our family together.”
Congratulations, Myleene!
