Classic FM has been given the Brand Of The Year award at the 2013 Sony Radio Academy Award, as well as scooping a Silver award in the Best Promotional/Advertising Campaign category.
In its inaugural year, the Brand Of The Year award at the Sony Radio Academy Awards has been given to Classic FM.
The judging panel commended the station for "Their longevity, attention to detail and understanding of their audience on all media platforms ensures its place as the inaugural winner of this award."
The panel also commented: "Classic FM is not just a great radio station, it is also a superb brand."
Aside from the Brand Of The Year Award, there were celebrations for the More Music Breakfast show with Tim Lihoreau as it was given the Silver award for Best Promotional/Advertising Campaign.
This year's Gold Award went to Global Radio's Richard Park, who was commended for his "unequalled contribution to the shape and sound of music radio both in the UK and further afield."
