A striking video of a boys' choir in Germany staging a walk-out has become a YouTube hit.
Staging a mass walk-out is not conventional behaviour for a boys' choir, but it's worked for one particular ensemble in Germany. A video of the choir's performance, in which they leave the stage one-by-one, has become a YouTube sensation.
The evocative performance took place last week to mark Universal Children's Day. At the end of the performance the last remaining boy of the choir (the Wuppertaler Kurrende) explains the concept behind the walk-out.
Performing under the name 'The Lost Choir', they sang a choral version of 'Mad World', originally by Tears For Fears but more famously covered by Gary Jules in a stripped-back piano reduction.
