Adrian Chandler - Vivaldi x2
Avie
As one of the world’s leading Baroque specialists, any chance to hear Adrian Chandler playing a selection of Vivaldi’s double concertos shouldn’t be missed. With his La Serenissima ensemble in tow, Chandler is absolutely in his element tackling concertos for two horns, two oboes and various other duo configurations. It’s garnering rave reviews all over, and it’s very easy to see why.
Rue Most - Mozart
Bridge
What could be better than a complete and comprehensive account of Mozart’s music for flute and orchestra, led by a stellar flautist at the top of his game? Oh, and it’s performed on a wooden flute, too, so the sound is very slightly different to what you may be used to hearing from these works. Truly, a brilliant way to experience some old favourites - including Mozart’s two flute concertos and his concerto for flute and harp.
