Musicians named for the royal wedding
The Choir of Westminster Abbey, the Central Band of the RAF and Claire Jones among those set to perform.
St James’s Palace have issued a press release confirming the musicians for the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. James Blunt must be disappointed, as The Choir Of Westminster, The Chapel Royal Choir, the London Chamber Orchestra and The Fanfare Team from the Central Band of the Royal Air Force will perform at the wedding service.
Claire Jones, the Official Harpist to HRH The Prince of Wales, will also perform at a reception hosted by Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
The press release goes on to say that information about the music will be confirmed shortly, but states the Service “will include a number of well-known hymns and choral works as well as some specially-commissioned pieces”.
