The Royal Shakespeare Company’s smash hit 'A Mad World My Masters' combines sultry jazz music and glamorous 1950s costumes in a hilarious and entertaining production.
Travel back to the 1950s and step into the smoky world of Soho’s Flamingo jazz club in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s uproarious Jacobean romp, A Mad World My Masters.
A dashing bachelor in search of quick cash and good times has to live on his wits in a world where glamour rubs shoulders with filth – and likes it. A Mad World My Masters is a comic and visual feast which bursts with live music and jokes galore.
Director Sean Foley’s edited version of Thomas Middleton’s hilarious and filthy Jacobean comedy has been transported to Soho in the 1950s and includes riotously funny characters such as Mrs. Littledick, Sir Bounteous Peersucker, Truly Kidman and a doddery old butler named Spunky.
Hailed by the Daily Telegraph as a ‘Disgracefully entertaining evening’ - don’t miss this hilarious show on national tour this spring.
