All the highlights from Classic FM Live with Honda Jazz, a special night celebrating the Hall of Fame 2019, including the chart's new number one, 'The Lark Ascending' and Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2.

1. 'Ride of the Valkyries' opens Classic FM Live 2019

   

   The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and conductor Michael Seal tackle one of Wagner's scores, the epic ‘Ride of the Valkyries’ that's at No. 122 in the Classic FM Hall of Fame 2019.

3. Guitarist Miloš plays Piazzolla's 'Libertango'

   

   Miloš Karadaglić joins the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra to play three pieces on the guitar: Piazzolla's 'Libertango', a rendition of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’, and the well-known Beatles tune ‘Here Comes the Sun’.

5. Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 at the Royal Albert Hall

   

   Young musician Martin James Bartlett takes on a Classic FM Hall of Fame favourite, Rachmaninov's second piano concerto, alongside the City of Birmingham Orchestra.

   Young cellist Jamal Aliyev performs the sublime cello solo in Sir Karl Jenkins' ‘Benedictus’ from his mass The Armed Man.

10. Jennifer Pike performs Ralph Vaughan Williams' masterpiece 'The Lark Ascending'

    

    This year's Classic FM Hall of Fame No. 1 is the sublime ‘The Lark Ascending’ by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Jennifer Pike performs the outstanding work alongside the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall.
