HRH The Duchess of Cornwall will attend the Classic BRIT Awards at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday, it has been announced today.
Her arrival will be marked by a fanfare by trumpeters of the Central Band of the RAF, who are nominated for the Classic FM Album of the Year Award. They played for another royal occasion just last week, leading the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s procession from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace following their wedding.
The Central Band of the RAF’s album Reach for the Skies is one of 10 albums nominated for the Classic FM Album of the Year Award. The award is the only Classic BRIT that is decided by public vote.
All the awards will be announced at a glitzy ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday 12 May, presented by Myleene Klass.
