Between 25-28 May, Bordeaux finest export will be going to Liverpool’s UNESCO world heritage waterfront. A UK premiere, Liverpool is being embraced into the Bordeaux ‘Fete le Vin’ family alongside Brussels, Hong Kong, Quebec and Bordeaux.
You’ll start by taking your specially-branded Bordeaux wine glass and carrying case and enjoy six tastings of your choice, along with the chance to learn all about the progress of the grape from vine to glass from the official Bordeaux Wine School and expert winemakers themselves. Visitors can then purchase a glass or bottle of their favourite Bordeaux during the event.
Pavilions will feature appellations from the Bordeaux region, while the Bordeaux Wine School will offer lessons in how to taste and experience some very special reds, whites and rosés. Not only this but you can experience a grand gastronomic experience provided by some of Liverpool’s finest chefs and restaurants.
The weekend is set to be one of most sought after festival tickets this May Bank Holiday, as not only can you enjoy the incredible tastes from the Bordeaux Wine Festival but the Liverpool docklands also welcomes back the Tall Ships Regatta for the weekend, accompanied by music and art events across the city!
