One guy, providing a relaxing soundtrack for hundreds of stressed commuters. Lovely stuff.
Commuters at Waterford station in Ireland were treated to an impromptu performance from this talented pianist, as they waited for a train on Monday, 4 March.
The pianist, whose identity is unknown, played a beautifully expressive version of Debussy’s ‘Clair de lune’.
The performance was captured by a Twitter user, who described it as “simple and beautiful”, adding “this just made my day and the passengers’ day more beautiful”. She also thanked Irish Rail for installing pianos in a number of stations around the country.
Since the video was posted, it has been watched over 40,000 times on Twitter and amassed a string of positive comments, complimenting the pianist’s playing.
He plays Debussy very well!

Debussy! At a train station! In Ireland! Who needs punctual trains, when you can have that? 🎼❤️😄
