An absolute hero has just composed a fugue that every 90s kid needs in their life.
Seinfeld was one of the most iconic sitcoms of the last 30 years. It also had a pretty infectious theme tune too, performed on solo bass guitar (with added some vocal popping and percussion).
Seinfeld Theme
You might think that effortlessly cool, slapping bass might not be the most natural theme for study in counterpoint - however, composer and all-round music geek Cyrus Exum had some other ideas. He's taken the motif and worked it into a brilliantly contrapuntal four-part fugue. Very strong hand sandwich to you, Cyrus.
