Over four decades, the film producer David Puttnam gave us such award-winning films as The Mission, The Killing Fields, Local Hero and Chariots of Fire.
His son, the pianist Sacha Puttnam studied music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and at the Moscow Conservatory. He also composes his own music and arranges for film, TV, radio and video games.

On his new album, Sacha re-imagines the music from his father's own blockbuster movies in touching and sensitive arrangements for piano and orchestra. It's an atmospheric and soothing collection, which not only showcases great pieces but brings back memories of some seminal British films.
