Last week saw the release of the new Sherlock Holmes film, A Game of Shadows. We've been speaking to the film's celebrated composer, Hans Zimmer, all about it.
The Guy Ritchie-directed Sherlock Holmes sequel sees Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law reprising their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson, respectively. It is also the second time Hans Zimmer has worked with Guy Ritchie, having penned the score for the first Sherlock Holmes film.
Hans Zimmer is responsible for such classic scores as Gladiator, The Lion King and Inception. His music will also be appearing in the eagerly anticipated new Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, due for release next year.
Classic FM's Peter Ferris spoke to Hans about the Sherlock Holmes score, how he came to be involved in the film and his upcoming projects including a very special role at next year's Oscar ceremony.
