Eric Whitacre posts preview of Depeche Mode arrangement

Eric Whitacre has posted a preview of his forthcoming arrangement of Depeche Mode's 'Enjoy The Silence' on his Soundcloud page.

The choral composer and conductor has long claimed to be a fan of the alternative 80s rock band and has revealed that a limited 10-inch vinyl of the song will be available via Decca records soon.

Whitacre's arrangement keeps much the original song's iconic melody, but adds his signature close-harmony chords and vocal clusters. His Twitter biography jokingly claims that he is the fifth member of Depeche Mode.
