As we’re all missing going to live concerts and interacting with each other, we’re remembering this gem of a moment from eight years ago.
During a dress rehearsal for a DCINY concert with Eric Whitacre and his choir at Carnegie Hall, one of the singers decided to surprise his girlfriend in the audience.
Jeremy Williams was singing on stage and his girlfriend, Leah, had no idea what was about to happen.

A surprise proposal took place at an Eric Whitacre concert...
On Jeremy’s instruction, Grammy-winning maestro Whitacre goes to fetch Leah from her seat. Reassuring her, he says: “This will all make sense in about 20 seconds. I promise I’m not going to embarrass you.”
As the choir provides a fitting soundtrack – Whitacre’s spine-tingling Seal Lullaby – Jeremy gets down on one knee on stage.
Of course, she said yes…
