Howard Shore's The Hobbit soundtrack details released

Academy Award-winning composer Howard Shore's soundtrack for The Hobbit: And Unexpected Journey now has an official track-listing and artwork.
Details for the soundtrack of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey have been announced. Howard Shore's score covers two discs and will be available in standard and special editions. It will be released in the UK on December 10th.
The soundtrack to the Peter Jackson-directed film includes an original song performed by Crowded House frontman Neil Finn, and was recorded at London's Abbey Road studios by the London Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Howard Shore himself.
Commenting on the new soundtrack, Shore said: "I have looked forward to returning to the imaginative world of Middle-earth for quite a while… I read all of the books by Tolkien, including The Hobbit, when I was in my twenties, and his deep love of nature and all things green resonates deeply with me."
The Hobbit is due for cinematic release on December 14th, and stars British actor Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins and Sir Ian McKellen as Gandalf. It is the fourth film adaptation of one of J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy novels to be directed by Peter Jackson.
Shore's score for the original Lord Of Rings movies has been performed all over the world since it was composed, and recently topped the Classic FM Movie Chart.
