John Rutter on the Classic FM Interview

Every week, Nick Ferrari talks to the world's biggest stars for The Classic FM Interview. This week Nick was joined by none other than the celebrated composer John Rutter.

This is a typically busy time of year for Rutter, being the composer of many of the popular contemporary Christmas carols. This year is no exception as John Rutter has just released a brand new CD called 'The Colours of Christmas', a collection of some of the most well-known and best-loved Christmas carols, with new arrangements and orchestrations by John Rutter himself.

This new CD has rounded up what has been another brilliant year for John having seen his music sung at the Royal Wedding earlier this year.

In this revealing interview, John talks candidly to Classic FM's Nick Ferrari about his early ambitions as a composer, his diverse taste in music and exactly what happened when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge told him they wanted his music to be sung at their wedding earlier this year.
