Members of the orchestra performed their various parts separately from their homes during lockdown, and conductors Timothy Henty and Benjamin Pope pieced them all together.
The story’s characters have been performed by a cast made up of the ensemble’s families, friends – and even pets.
Alexander said he is “delighted” to narrate the special show, adding: “It is one of the best ways to introduce young people to classical music, and what has been achieved in splendid isolation is something of a miracle.”
The film will conclude 90 days of musical broadcasts which the orchestra has been showcasing daily since lockdown began.
Watch ‘Peter and the Wolf’ on the London Mozart Players’ Facebook and YouTube channel this Saturday at 10am.
