Mozart Wind Concertos

Mozart Wind Concertos by Irena Grafenauer, Francois Leleux, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and conductors Colin Davis and Gunter Wand.
This is a bright and uplifting recording of two perennial Mozart favourites, the Flute Concerto in G major and the Oboe Concerto in C major, paired with the composer's rarely heard Symphony No.32 (which lasts less than ten minutes from start to finish!).
Flautist Irena Grafenauer and oboist Francois Leleux are both internationally renowned woodwind soloists who emerged from the ranks of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra - so it's fitting that it's this very orchestra accompanying them here, under the baton of Colin Davis and Gunter Wand.
Davis is a former Chief Conductor of the orchestra, and the recording of the Mozart symphony included here was captured 25 years ago, early on in the conductor's tenure there.
