Karl Jenkins on performance, peace and Penclawdd

Karl Jenkins spoke to Classic FM’s Lucy Coward about the tenth anniversary concert to commemorate the tragedy of 9/11 at New York's Lincoln Center.

The special night will include a performance of his iconic work The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace, the most performed piece by a living composer. The work has already clocked up over 1000 performances since it was composed in 2000.

Karl also told us about encouraging people to sing for peace during September, about his new project, The Peace Maker, and finally about his belief in the healing powers of music.
