The complete 2010 Movie Music Chart has now been revealed at classicfm.com. Classic FM Magazine’s poll invited listeners and readers to vote for their favourite film soundtrack.
James Horner’s score for Avatar is the highest new entry, coming in at number 32. Horner makes several appearances in the Chart, the highest placed at number 14: Braveheart.
Other new entries include Horner’s The Boy in Striped Pyjamas, Ennio Morricone’s Once Upon a Time in the West, Hans Zimmer’s Sherlock Holmes, two scores by John Barry: Somewhere in Time and Zulu; and two by Michael Giacchino: Up and Star Trek.
John Williams takes the title of the most featured composer, with 16 entries, far ahead of the two composers who tie in second place: Hans Zimmer and James Horner, with six entries each.
