The BAFTA Award-Winning composer Richard Harvey composed his guitar concerto for the Australian guitarist John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra. It was composed in 1995 and remains one of Harvey's most cherished works.
Harvey trained at the Royal College of Music in London, specialising in medieval and Renaissance instruments. He went on to form the prog-rock and folk band Gryphon.
His work for film and television includes music for The Da Vinci Code and the 1985 film Defence of the Realm.
