The Film: Bridget Jones is struggling with life as an unmarried thirty something. So on New Year's Eve she vows to better herself, find a better job, diet, find a man and record all her antics in her diary.
The Composer: Patrick Doyle joined Kenneth Branagh's Renaissance Theatre Company as an actor, composer and musical director back in 1987 and wrote music for many of their renaissance productions. However it wasn't until he was asked to write the score for Branagh's film of Henry V that he began a career in film scoring.
