Millions of people across the world will hear the composer's peaceful piano music when using the search engine today.
Debussy's 151st birthday is being marked by Google today, who are celebrating the French composer's output with a specially created Google doodle. The animation, featuring a moonlit river scene, is soundtracked by one of his most famous works, Clair de lune, from his Suite Bergamasque.
Flashing street lights, cars, and a windmill all feature in the animation, which ends with two people in different boats sharing a single red umbrella. Debussy's peaceful piano music accompanies throughout, with the option to learn more about the composer by clicking in the top right hand corner.
This isn't the first time the search engine giant has celebrated a notable date in the world of classical music. Clara Schumann featured on a Google doodle in September 2012, in celebration of her 193rd birthday.
