Happy Birthday, but inspired by one of the greatest classical piano sonatas. And it works suprisingly well.
With its huge minor chords, dramatic contrasts and virtuosic runs, Beethoven's 'Pathetique' piano sonata has one of the most stirring and iconic openings in music.
But the duo known as Pianotainment have made a discovery – the melody from Happy Birthday fits around the composer's pianistic drama very well indeed. Just perfect for a Beethoven-lover's special day. Bravo!
