The Film: This film sees Joy Adamson and her husband, a Kenyan game warden, raise Elsa a lion cub. When Elsa approaches maturity, Joy determines she must re-educate Elsa to the wilds of Kenya, so that the lioness can return to a free life.

The Score: Composer John Barry went on to become one of the most celebrated film composers of modern times, winning five Academy Awards and four Grammys for such memorable scores as Midnight Cowboy, Dances With Wolves and Out Of Africa.
