Classic FM has been in touch with Rizzle Kicks and Jack Whitehall over Twitter as they let us know about their classical tastes.
Hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks and comedian Jack Whitehall took to Twitter yesterday to evangelise classical music and Classic FM - and joked about a possible classical music slant to the next Rizzle Kicks album.
Whitehall initially tweeted yesterday afternoon: "Bad thing about working with your father is being forced to have classic fm on in the background all day #boredofchopin #wantsomerizzlekicks". But he soon became a little more conversational when Classic FM Requests presenter Jamie Crick got involved.
Whitehall requested a play of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2, which he then described as a "Choooooooon!"
Rizzle Kicks then took to their Twitter account to join in: "@jackwhitehall our next album will be heavily influenced by Bach so you can have a middle ground". When pressed by Classic FM, though, they admitted: "Unfortunately our Bach influenced album was mere joshing".
However, a little more gentle encouragement from Classic FM prompted them to say their potential mash-up might make an appearance on their next album. In any case, we await the follow up to their debut, Stereo Typical, with much excitement...
