Voces8's Bristol Proms concert of two halves

A concert that takes the audience from a theatre to a church in the interval is by no means traditional - but for the Bristol Proms it's just another experiment in classical music staging, and Voces8 are the perfect ensemble to do it.

Barney Smith from the a cappella group told Jane Jones exactly how a theatrical first half  complete with VJ accompaniment in the Old Vic theatre itself will then turn into a meditative experience as the action shifts to St Mary Redcliffe Church, just a short walk from the theatre.

"It's not something we've done before but I think it really adds to the intrigue and the excitement of the event."
