Tine Ting Helseth and Noah Stewart will join Classic FM presenters John Suchet and Jamie Crick at the iconic Regent Street Christmas lights switch-on on Tuesday 13 November
Music-lovers in London will be treated to a classical Christmas celebration at Regent Street on Tuesday, as trumpeter Tine Ting Helseth and singer Noah Stewart are scheduled to perform. Classic FM's very own John Suchet and Jamie Crick will also be there to present the event and kick-start the festive season.
The event celebrates not only Christmas, but also the achievements of Team GB and Paralympics GB at the Olympics. Long jump gold-medallist Greg Rutherford and Paralympic couple Sarah and Barney Storey will take to the stage along with more than 30 team mates to switch on the lights.
Jamie Crick, clearly feeling festive already, said: "I'm so excited to be part of the team switching on the Regent Street lights this year and meeting Team GB and Paralympics GB heroes will be an extra bonus, plus I think that bloke from Classic FM, John Suchet, will be there... I must get his autograph for my mum!"
The celebrations are set to begin at 5.30pm with a choral performance from the cast of West End show Matilda, singing the much-loved carol The 12 Days of Christmas.
