Sheku spoke to Classic FM about the experience of playing live at the Royal Wedding
Sheku Kanneh-Mason says he received a 'lovely letter' following his much lauded performance at the wedding of Prince Harry and Megan Markle.
Speaking to Classic FM backstage at the Classic BRIT Awards 2018, Sheku says that he did not speak to the couple following their wedding as they were so busy, but later received a letter of thanks.
Sheku, who went on to win Male Artist of the Year at the Classic BRITs told Classic FM: "I really enjoyed being part of the day".
"It was such an exciting day to be part of and I was performing a piece of music that I love playing, so that meant I was able to just really enjoy it. I don't tend to get nervous for performing - obviously it was a performance very different to anything I'd done before - but I was just able to enjoy it and I found it so exciting."
When asked if there was anyone he would like to perform with in future, if he had a choice of anyone, Sheku said the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, which he described as "such an amazing collection of musicians."
