Nicola Benedetti: "I've stayed strong and true to myself"
Will Nicola Benedetti make it two years in a row as Female Artist of the Year at the Classic BRIT Awards?
She's been nominated for Female Artist of the Year alongside trumpeter Alison Balsom and the soprano Joyce DiDonato but how does Nicola Benedetti feel about tonight's Classic BRIT Awards? She won the award last year.
In the past year, her album The Silver Violin was a success in the pop charts, becoming the first classical release to break the top 30 since Nigel Kennedy's Four Seasons.
Classic FM's Lucy Coward caught up with Nicola on the red carpet outside the Royal Albert Hall and asked her what changes she has seen over the ten years she has been performing.
"I've definitely tried to hold my fort and make sure that I've stayed strong and true to myself," said Benedetti.
