Classical guitarist Miloš Karadaglić has won the Classic BRIT Award for Breakthrough Artist.
Miloš Karadaglić has been announced as the winner of the Breakthrough Artist award at the 2012 Classic BRIT Awards.
Karadaglić was given the award in recognition of his album Latino. He is also a performer at the awards ceremony, which took place in London's Royal Albert Hall this evening.
"I'm so excited, thank you, this really and truly is a dream come true," he said. "The last 18 months have really been the most exciting time of my life, and none of that would have been possible without my fantastic audience."
He added: "This is all just the beginning and there is so much more to come, and I say: onwards and upwards!"
He beat competition from the likes of tenor Noah Stewart and pianist Benjamin Grosvenor to the award, given each year to a new classical artist.
