Miloš Karadaglić extols the classical guitar as the number one instrument for romance.
The guitarist Miloš Karadaglić has been singing the praises of the guitar as the instrument for St. Valentine's Day.
'It's not an accident that the guitar is the most popular classical instrument,' he says, 'With every note it's like you're playing your own heartstrings.'
The guitarist has been speaking to Classic FM's Jane Jones ahead of a special Valentine's Day concert given by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
It's the guitarist's first appearance in Liverpool, even though he has lived in the UK for 13 years. He's playing Rodrigo's Fantasía para un Gentihombre in a programme of Spanish passion.
He's also about to launch his new album of Rodrigo's music, Aranjuez, which, he tells Jane, are 'the most iconic works' for the guitar.
