Lang Lang performs at White House
Lang Lang joined musicians including Stevie Wonder and Elvis Costello to perform infront of the Obamas at a concert celebrating Sir Paul McCartney on Thursday 3 June.
Sir Paul was presented with the Gershwin Medal for Popular Song by President Obama at the White House and then performed at a concert held in his honour. Lang Lang opened the concert with a performance of McCartney’s song ‘Celebration’.
Lang Lang later joined in a group rendition of ‘Hey Jude’, with other musicians including Herbie Hancock, Paul Simon, the Jonas Brothers, Faith Hill, Elvis Costello, Dave Grohl, Stevie Wonder, Jack White and Emmylou Harris. Watch the performance below…
