Katherine Jenkins sings national anthem at American football game

Katherine Jenkins sang the national anthem at the St. Louis Rams vs New England Patriots NFL International Series game on Sunday night.

Welsh mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins performed the British national anthem at Sunday night's NFL International Series American football match at Wembley Stadium to a packed audience.

The game, between the St. Louis Rams and the New England Patriots, was opened with a speech from London Mayor Boris Johnson, before Jenkins took the stage and performed the anthem while the players prepared to get the game underway.

The performance comes after Jenkins and pop-opera four-piece Il Divo announced a joint-headlining tour for March 2013, and as she prepares for a tour with legendary tenor Andrea Bocelli.

Jenkins will also be releasing her new festive-themed album This Is Christmas on November 26th.
