DiDonato tweets on Classic FM at Gramophones

Joyce DiDonato will take over Classic FM’s Twitter account and tweet from the Gramophone Awards at the Dorchester Hotel in London tomorrow.

The American mezzo-soprano has been nominated by the public in the category Artist of the Year, alongside artists including Placido Domingo, Isabelle Faust, Lang Lang, Paul Lewis and Kent Nagano.

Joyce will be giving us a unique insight into what goes on at one of the biggest classical music awards ceremonies of the year. She’ll be telling us the winners as they’re announced and giving us her reaction once the winner of Artist of the Year is revealed.

Among the other special Gramophone Award categories are Recording of the Year, Editor’s Choice, Young Artist of the Year, Lifetime Achievement and Label of the Year.

Classic FM will be at the Awards and posting pictures of the winning artists, and we’ll be talking to some of the nominees and winners.
