Classic FM Breakfast with Dan Walker 6:30am - 9am
We speak to pianist James Rhodes as he's just completed recording a new album, his first on Warner Bros Records.
We ask James how his unconventional path to becoming a professional pianist has affected his playing, who his inspirations are, and if he would like to teach. His own childhood was very difficult, and he tells us that music provided an escape route.
James also tells us that being an artist agent is like going out with Cheryl Cole’s uglier sister, and how he might have ended up as one.
And we hear what we can expect on his new album - still top secret.
