Classic FM Arts Daily Podcast - 11 May 2009
Bob Jones' pioneering podcast series dedicates time to the artists and organisations that make the classical world turn - this week he talks to James Rhodes.
Conventional is not a word you can use to describe upcoming pianist James Rhodes. He put aside the instrument aged 18 when his parents wouldn't let him take up a place at a Conservatoir; but took it up again ten years later on the encouragement of his hero. Later this week he takes to the stage of the Roundhouse in London, a venue more used to rock stars than Bach and Beethoven. He charts his curious path through the musical world.
