Jack Liebeck Interview

British violinist Jack Liebeck will be performing at Classic FM Live on 30 September. We caught up with him as he began a week at the North York Moors Chamber Music Festival.

Jack said he’s really looking forward to playing The Lark Ascending at Classic FM Live, describing it as ‘a magical piece to perform’.

In May Liebeck won the Classical BRIT Award for Young British Performer for his Dvorak recording with Katya Apekisheva. She’s also accompanying him on his latest release, the Complete Brahms Violin Sonatas. He explains how their partnership evolved.

Liebeck also talks about his recent trip to Australia, where he took part in the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, and performing with his wife, who is also a violinist.
