Isata Kanneh-Mason is a British pianist whose debut album ‘Romance’ features music dedicated to 19th-century piano virtuoso Clara Schumann. The album, released by Decca, debuted at the top of the UK Official Classical Artist Chart.
Isata studied at the Royal Academy of Music, where she held the prestigious Sir Elton John Scholarship. She performed with Elton John in Los Angeles in 2013, and has performed on Channel 4, Al Jazeera TV and ITV's Born To Shine.
As one of the talented Kanneh-Mason family, she often plays in a piano trio with her siblings: cellist Sheku, who played at the Royal wedding, and violinist Braimah, who often plays with the pop group Clean Bandit.
